Organ Performance Practice in the Medieval Clerical Universe

Develop a high-level technique (bellows subtle control, precise tuning, expressiveness) as you explore an array of repertoires related to the instrument and learn about the organ’s function and symbolism in its medieval context.

Cristina Alís Raurich

Instructor

Cristina Alís Raurich studied early keyboards (portative organ, clavicimbalum, clavicytherium) at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and is pursuing a doctoral degree in musicology at the University of Würzburg (Germany). She is visiting scholar at the Centre International de Musiques Médiévales (Université Paul Valéry) and a member of the ensembles Magister Petrus, and La Douce Semblance. She is also the director of the Late Medieval and Renaissance Music Course of San Marino.
